Dandelions are much maligned as a weed, but they are incredibly important in our ecosystem. Dandelions are nutritional powerhouses for early spring pollinators like bees. And are beneficial to humans, as both food and herbal medicines. In celebration of this vibrant and incredibly useful flower, this picture celebrates their highly successful seeding head (the 'clock') that disperses multitudes of seeds with the slightest breeze.
